CALLING ALL ARTISTS:

DPZ VOICE CONTEST: SING (PLAY OR RECITE) LIKE A SIAMANG

The Siamang Duet: a siamang ape couple creates an original duet. Their duet is a unique blend of the male’s vocalizations and the female’s. To highlight this amazing, endangered species–and to show off the original human talent yet discovered–artists are invited to share their duet for the chance to become the first DPZ Voice Winner!

Singers, songwriters, musicians, poets: share your original duet with DPZ for a chance to win the DPZ Voice.

Rules:

• :60 second audio only (videos or entries with foul language will be disqualified)
• E-mail to to dpzvoice@dickersonparkzoo.org
• Entry must be an original and presented by a duo. Include names of artists and title of the piece in your email.
• Entries may be submitted up to June 13.
• Semi-finalists announced the week of June 14.
• Semi-finalists will post a video performance of their duet on this page.
• Finalists will be announced by June 25.
• Finalists to perform at a concert on Friday, July 2 at noon. Finale held at the zoo amphitheater.
• Finalists will perform for a panel of local celebrity judges for a chance to win a prize package and bragging rights.
