Embark on an unforgettable journey where aspiring young minds delve into the fascinating world of veterinary medicine. With the assistance of our experienced veterinary staff, campers will explore the world of medical care for our more than 450 resident animals. Through immersive activities, engaging hospital tours, and hands-on experiences using real veterinary tools, campers will gain a deep understanding of how Dickerson Park Zoo’s veterinarians safeguard the health of our animals. Join us for a camp filled with discovery, learning, and the excitement of the veterinary care at the heart of the zoo!
Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty! Please bring a water bottle and lunch that does not require refrigeration (reusable containers are preferred).
Age: students entering 6th/7th/8th grade for the 2024/2025 school year
Fee: $180/FOZ Member, $225/Non-member
Time: 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
All classes are located at the Education Building (1103 W Smith Street, Springfield, MO 65803), not at the Dickerson Park Zoo front gate.
