Think you’ve got the wild spirit to be a zookeeper? Our campers dive into the thrilling world of zookeeping, they will shadow the pros and jump into the daily animal care extravaganza—scrubbing, feeding, and even whipping up some special enrichment items. Get ready to embrace the mess and have a roaring good time!
Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty! Please bring a water bottle and lunch that does not require refrigeration (reusable containers are preferred).
Age: students entering 2nd/3rd grade for the 2024/2025 school year
Fee: $180/FOZ Member, $225/Non-member
Time: 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
All classes are located at the Education Building (1103 W Smith Street, Springfield, MO 65803), not at the Dickerson Park Zoo front gate.
