Calling all 2nd-5th graders! Get ready for a wild day of fun focused entirely on herpetology – the study of reptiles! This single day adventure will give campers the chance to encounter and learn all about snakes, turtles, lizards, and more. Through interactive activities like reptile-themed crafts, fun games, and guided tours, campers will explore the fascinating world of our scaly, cold-blooded friends. Let’s discover how reptiles thrive in their environments, why they’re important to us, and how we can help protect them in the wild.
Please dress appropriately for an outdoor zoo walk (weather dependent) and bring a lunch that does not require refrigeration.
All classes are located at the Education Building (1103 W Smith Street, Springfield, MO 65803), not at the Dickerson Park Zoo front gate.
