Join us for four days full of art and animals at the zoo! Designed for middle schoolers, this class will cover skills that wildlife artists use to create their work. Campers will learn about the elements of art, practice sketching from live animal subjects, try out several different mediums and more. At the end of camp students will put on a mini-gallery show to showcase their work! Class fees cover all camp supplies, instructors, behind the scenes experiences and animal encounters. Please remember to pack a sack lunch, dress for the weather and wear close-toed shoes for this experience.
Age: Grades 6-8
Fee: $225 members / $250 non-members
Duration: 6 hours/day, 4 days
Time: Monday, June 29 – Thursday, July 2 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m
All classes are located at the Education Building (1103 W Smith Street, Springfield, MO 65803), not at the Dickerson Park Zoo front gate.
