Junior Zoologists: A kid’s guide to animal science
Science is wonder; that feeling of awe! Let your child experience that sense of excitement, intellectual curiosity, and fascination in this fascinating Animal Science Camp! Our lively and interactive class, tailored just for curious kids, promises a wild ride of discovery. In this camp, our budding scientists will formulate questions, hypothesize, and experiment. We will explore the zoo each day, perform experiments, collect data, and even meet some animal friends up close to help us learn!
NOTE: Please bring a lunch that does not require refrigeration and a water bottle. Reusable containers are encouraged. Please wear closed toes shoes and clothing that can get dirty.
Age: Students who have completed Kindergarten. (Students entering 1st grade for 2024-2025 school year)
Fee: $120/FOZ Member, $150/Non-member
Time: 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
All classes are located at the Education Building (1103 W Smith Street, Springfield, MO 65803), not at the Dickerson Park Zoo front gate.
